Peach Lime Rickey
Sometimes, you just don’t want to overthink things too much. Is it warm out? If yes, you need something to cool off. Do you like limeade? It’s like lemonade, but with limes, so naturally. How about peaches? Well if it’s summer, of course. Then yes, this is the drink for you. When it’s warm and you need something awesome, because it’s awesome. Oh yes, it’s the Peach Lime Rickey.
Do you like peaches? How about lime? Fizzy drinks? Then you’re set.
This is a riff on the classic Lime Rickey, which is woefully underrepresented on many modern cocktail menus. Seriously, it’s a great cocktail when it’s warm out and you’re lounging poolside, or inside watching the pool, or just need a cool and refreshing drink.
What’s involved? Peach brandy. Like a peach BOSS! Lime juice. A touch of simple syrup — this is a pleasant afternoon sipper after all. Then some tonic for that fuzzy, playful fizz (you bet fizz can be playful).
As usual, don’t skimp, treat yourself right, go with quality ingredients. For us, that meant finding what we could for everything else, but our friends over at Q Tonic hooked us up with some of their tasty tonic for the fizz. It’s good to have friends, especially friends with tasty tonics.
Are you ready for some peach limeade action? Sh-yeah! Me too buddy, me too.
